The user rights shown below need to be enabled in order to view Payroll Transaction Codes.
Payroll transaction codes are used by the rules to determine which Rule Calculator should be used for Pay calculations.
You can create the transaction codes manually by click the NEW button or the system can Auto Generate the Transaction Codes based on the Payroll rules.
Note: Payroll Transaction Codes are not used for Payroll calculations in Earth. In Earth, the calculation is based on historical data versus actual data; however, normal transaction codes can be used to override the rule calculation.
Creating a new Payroll Transaction Code
Field | Description |
| Name | This is a mandatory field. |
| Shortcode | This is a mandatory field. |
| Shortcode 2 | This is an optional field. |
| Human Resource Filters | This is an optional field and is to be used if the code is only valid for a specific group. |
| Rule calculator | Select a Payroll Calculator. |
| Comment | If the system has generated the code, the comment will be Autogenerated. |
