Roster Filters may be used for numerous activities, such as:
- number of landings
- simulator sessions
- ETOPS flights
- day off requests
- mid and long-haul flights
- crew hotel mismatch.
Roster Filters is located under Editors > Human Resources > Roster Filters or you can search for Roster and/or filters dialog in the Search field.
A Roster Filter window appears.
Creating a new Roster Filter
1. Click the New button to create a new roster filter
2. Enter the name that will become the Roster Filter Name (system wide).
3. Define the Valid From and Valid To dates. If you set the Valid from date to a date in the past, the filter is active immediately. You can also set the date to a date in the future to prevent the filter from working until the date specified.
Selecting the Viewing/Editing Permissions of the Roster Filter
Permission | Description |
Public | This means it can be edited and reviewed by any user. |
Protected | Other users have no permission to edit. |
Private | Only the user who created this filter can use it. |
- If the leg filter is Inherited, choose an item from the dropdown list.
- Select the Group from the dropdown list, if necessary.
- Define the Sort Order.
- Select the Active checkbox if the leg filter is to be used. Enter your data in either Expression or Parameter(s) and test run it before saving. The system tells you if it's working or not. Click the Save button.
- Your filter appears to the left and is ready to use.
In this example, a filter is created for standby activities for rank FO using the Expression Filter Type.
Where to find and apply the Filter in the Gantt and when picked Filter “SB activities FO”. Only the standby activities and only for the FO will be highlighted.
Edit an existing Roster Filter
To edit a roster filter, select the filter (click on the filter to left) you intend to edit. You need to rename the filter. Once the required amendments have been made, click the Save button to commit the changes to the database.
Copying existing Roster Filters
A roster filter can be copied to create a new filter by:
- Selecting the filter to the left by clicking it then selecting the Copy button.
- In the bottom of your filter list, the copied filter appears with an asterisk.
- Write a new name of the filter and edit/create it as a new. Click the Save button.
Deleting an existing Roster Filter
Roster filters that are no longer required can be deleted by clicking the Delete button. To delete multiple roster filters, mark the filters “Ctrl + left click” and click the Delete button.
