How to Create a Custom E-mail Subject for Automated Reports

If you only see 'report' in the email subject when receiving automated reports from N-OC, you might need to include a subject from Integration Factory.


To do so, follow these steps:

  1. Go to Integration Factory.

  2. Open the Message Templates and click the NEW button.

  3. Provide the template a name. This is just to identify what report the template is created for. The name is what will be displayed in the menu like in the picture above. The data type should be set to Report Export. After, click the NEXT button.
  4. Create the text template that will be shown in the email description. Select the data element 'Text' then click the ADD button to create a new textbox. After, add the text you will see in the email header.
  5. On the bottom part of the same page, click the TEST RUN button to preview the message. If you’re satisfied with the result, click the FINISH button.

  6. You can now move to the Automation Factory to give the title you created to the report template.

  7. When adding the ComChannel, you will find your title under the Title dropdown menu.
