Below is the icon for Training Pattern:
In Training Pattern, you can define a training pattern for recurrent training and/or initial training (same structure is used for any kind of training).
Field | Description |
Name | The name should be easy and understandable. |
Start | Day of week at which training pattern can start. For example: All days checked (1234567) means that training pattern can start at any day of week. Friday checked (5) - means that training can start only on Fridays. Monday, Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday checked (1367) means that training can start on Mondays or Wednesday or Saturdays or Sundays. |
Local time | Informs whether times (from-to) given in activities below shall be treated as local times (for appropriate training facility when semi-automatic assignment algorithm is executed) - checked, or UTC time - unchecked. |
Add day button | Adds Day group into collection of days (below). |
Day group collection | Outer group (border) is a day group that allows users to group one or more days within it. For example: A group of days means that there is no difference in which order days defined within single group are assigned. It is only important that all days from one group are assigned earlier than the days from the succeeding (next) group. On the right-hand side of a day group, there are three buttons:
Inner group (border) is a single day. It allows for activities to be defined with important properties. On the right side of a day, there are three buttons:
Within a day, there is a table (list) of activities that shall take place on given day. There are five columns with important properties and one action. |
Activity | Activity that shall be executed, activity must exist in “Reference Activity” as a Training activity. |
From | Start hour of the activity (if "local time" checkbox is checked for a whole training pattern then this time is treated as local; otherwise it will be treated as UTC time). For example, 0900. |
To | End hour of the activity (if "local time" checkbox is checked for a whole training pattern then this time is treated as local; otherwise it is treated as UTC time). For example, 1700. Note: Free text (default note) that will be populated by semi-automatic assignment algorithm (training matching) to a created roster activity as a note (i.e. for planner, instructor and student) i.e. "SIM 1", "Theory". |
Flexible | Defines whether the training is treated as flexible hours or not. Options: checked or unchecked
|
Status | The Status code can be used to advise which syllabus will be followed on a course. The system assures that all crew assigned to the training will follow the same syllabus (Status code). |
Delete button | Deletes activity row from the table. |
Copy symbol | This will copy the “Day” and place in under the selected day. You can drag and drop it to another day. |
Applying a Training Pattern
To apply a training pattern to a crewmember, open the training Gantt in Rosters and toggle training pattern to the desired pattern. By assigning the first day of the training pattern to the crewmember, the following days that match the criteria of the training pattern will also be added to the crewmember's roster.
It is important to note that if there are multiple training sessions that match the training pattern criteria, only one will be added. For example: For Recurrent SIM training that may have variable sim times, in the same training facility, on the same date, unless the training pattern indicates a specific time, any of the sim sessions could be added.
