The Department function allows you to specify the department at your company.
When creating or editing a department, the following fields are available:
| Field | Description |
| Name | Enter the name of the department. This is a mandatory field. |
| Shortcode | Enter a shortcode for the department. This is a mandatory field. |
| Cost Centers | Enter if there are any associated Cost Centers. |
| Active | Check the box if the department is active or not. |
