There is a significant amount of information that can be gathered just by viewing the Schedules Gantt, such as flight statuses, MEL information, aircraft information (Registration, Type, Version etc.), legality alerts, and much more.
Hovering over each flight or activity in the Gantt gives you more detailed information about that specific event, such as assigned crew information, scheduled vs estimated vs actual times, leg complement, and notes assigned to the event.
