Call Signs

To search for a Call Sign, type a name in the search field then click Search. The result will be displayed in the same dialog window.

Creating a new Call Sign

1. Click the New button to create a new call sign.
2. Select Prefix from the dropdown list.
3. Enter a Number.
4. Select Suffix from the dropdown list.
5. Enter a Call Sign.
6. Set Valid From/Valid To dates.
7. Select Active if the call sign is to be used. 

Once the parameters are defined, select the Save button. The information is then committed to the database and the new entry will appear in the existing list of items. To discard a new item prior to saving, select the Cancel button. The information will be removed and the window closed.  

Editing an existing Call Sign

All Call Signs can be edited using the following procedure: 

1. To edit the call signs, click the Edit button. 

• If more than one call sign needs to be edited, select the appropriate checkboxes. After clicking the Edit button, each item will appear in a separate window, and in turn, can be edited.

2. Once the required amendments have been made, select the Save button to commit the changes to the database. 

• To discard changes, click the Cancel button.

Copying an existing Call Sign

The Call Signs can be copied to create new call signs using the following procedure. 

1. Indicate the call signs by selecting the checkbox then clicking the Copy button. 
2. The Edit dialogue window is displayed and the new parameters can be entered. 
3. Click the Save button to save changes.
   •  To discard changes, click the Cancel button. 

Deleting an existing Call Sign

The Call Signs that are no longer required can be deleted by clicking the Delete button. 

To delete multiple call signs, select check boxes of appropriate call signs then click the Delete button.
