User right “Trade Settings” under HRE- Human Resource is required.

There should be a setting for every crew group; however, they might be “divided” into. If there are different rules for First Officer (FO) lineholders and FO reserves, a setting should be added for each group. For example, if the rules apply to FO in
general, only one is required.

If there are other restrictions if crew are on leave of absence, there needs to be a rule set for that. Crew should only be present in one of the settings for it to work properly. When creating a new setting, it must be marked as Active to be effective.

The available settings per group are as follows:

  • Name: Name that describes the trade group.
  • Human Resource Filter: Crew Filter that defines a given crew group.
  • Can one way trade with whom: The crew that fits the main HR Filter can initiate a one way trade request with the crew that match this filter.
  • Can one way trade what: Type of activities that can be traded defined by a roster filter.
  • Can two way trade with whom: The crew that fits the main HR Filter can initiate a two way trade request with the crew that match this filter.
  • Can two way trade what: Type of activities that can be traded defined by a roster filter
  • Can post what to the tradeboard: The crew that match the HR Filter can post the activities defined by this roster filter to the trade board.
  • Can pick up what to the tradeboard: The crew that match the HR Filter can pick up the activities defined by this roster filter to the trade board
  • Can pickup Over What Activities: The crew can pick a trade over the activities defined here. This will create an overlap.
  • Allowed Schedule Adjustment Period: If this crew group is allowed to trade from next period's roster during SAP.
  • Allowed to trade between two periods: If this crew group is allowed to trade a pairing that starts in one month against a pairing that starts in another month.
  • Allow crew to downrank if down rankable: Check the box if crew is down rankable (in HR rank dialogue) and should be able to accept a trade containing a pairing for another rank than they currently have. A captain could accept a trade with a first officer pairing for example.
  • Allowed to split pairings: If the crew is allowed to separate pairings when sending a trade request.
  • Allowed to split pairings in the middle: If the crew is allowed to separate pairings in the middle, that will create three or more new pairings when sending a trade request.

SAP

  • Start Date: Date in a period in which SAP is released.
  • Start Time: Time of start date when SAP is released.
  • Duration in hours: From the date and time of Fixed start hours and onward the SAP is open.

Temp closed period

  • Start Day: Date in period where the closed period starts
  • Start Time: Start time of start day
  • Duration: Duration of the closed period from the start day and time

Closing time span before end of period = The actual time span in which pairings/activities may not be altered. Calculated from the end of the period minus the entered timespan.

Trade Closes: How many hours and minutes before the trade board is closed for the crew member. This can be defined relative to: Activity Check-in, Pairing Check-in, or Activity Calendar day.
